The War Memorial Building, Trenton

The War Memorial Building, Trenton
Many Burg area folks remember going to the War Memorial
Building for a concert or a graduation, perhaps their
own back in the day:)

1967 and I look over at the sweet and wonderful Susie B. and for that moment, I'm the luckiest guy in the world.

The friendship ring was to be replaced with an engagement ring soon.

There is not a single day that goes by that I don't think of those times.

So lucky, not a lot of money but with her at my side, our parents and a cook out in the back yard of her semi in "The Western Section" off State.

Zsuz .. wherever you are ... thanks ... can't buy those times with a million bucks.

And we all graduated then for the most part too. Now the grad rate is less than 20%.

I know what happened and the answer is sad.

And no, or hardly any cause' I never saw any drugs in 1967. To this day when pressed, I still haven't met anyone who was "using" in 66' or 67' there were a few er ... musical types that may have been and I knew a few who almost made it but only saw weed in 69' and made the guy toss it out or face a long, long walk home. Not a lecture ... or .... preaching at all, just the way I saw my wonderful world back then. A few are gone and they were nice guys and I sure miss skiing with them.
