The Sun Shines Over Revere Avenue, Villa Park

The Sun Shines Over Revere Avenue, Villa Park
This is a new picture I took yesterday while in the Burg
area. Yes this is Joe Z's block. This picture came
out quite nice. Click on the picture and fill your
screen with Revere Avenue in Villa Park on a glorious
day:)

Hi Mack: Revere Avenue still looks the same as it did in the 1930s, when we spent most of our time on the only paved steet in Villa Park. There was a large vacant lot on the corner of Quinton and Liberty that we used as a baseball field. We hung out on the corner of Revere and Roebling and Sparky the cop on the beat, was among our good friends. We also played basketball in a lot on the corner of Columbus and Roebling. The Laurentis had a butcher store across the street. Larry Laurenti ended up owning a few Shop-Rite super markets in the area. They really were happy days, in spite of the depression. Best regards.
