Random Burg Notes Again

Matthew W. Zoladz was born in Trenton, he was a longtime area
resident. Mr. Zoladz was a Army Corps of Engineers veteran of
World War II. He was the owner and operator of Sainte Marie
Cleaners on Chestnut Avenue in the Burg for more than 30
years before retiring in 1986.

Adelmo ''Al'' Nonni was Born in Pittsfield, Mass., he was a
longtime Trenton resident. He was an Army veteran of World
War II. Mr. Nonni retired as a bartender for the Homestead
Inn, Hamilton, for 20 years. He was one of the founders of
the former Fulton Soldiers and Sailors Club .

Thomas Migliaccio Sr was born in Trenton, he was a lifelong
area resident. Mr. Migliaccio was a well-known barber in the
Chambersburg section of Trenton where he barbered until the
age of 88.


Marie C. Sorgenti was born in Trenton, Ms. Sorgenti was a
lifelong Trenton area resident. Mrs. Sorgenti was the
owner-operator of Marie School of Dance in Trenton for 20 years
until 1982. During her own dance career, Ms. Sorgenti made
many appearances on my Dads friend's show The Al Albert Showcase,
American Bandstand, and The Chief Halftown Show.

George F. Quinty Sr.was born in Trenton, He was a musician and
had owned Quinty 's Appliances in Trenton and Quinty 's Electric,
later known as Quinty 's Refrigeration. He was a member of the
American Federation of Musicians Trenton Local 62 and Philadelphia
Local 77. He played saxophone with Paul Whiteman's Band, Bunny
Berigan's Band, the Jimmy and Tommy Dorsey orchestras, Louis Prima,
Buddy Williams and Vito Musso bands and Bob Smith's Lamplighters.
He also led his own orchestra

Mack: Tommy the barber lived right across the street from me, one nice fellow. I took my kids there for their first haircuts.
