The Unca's Tribe Club, South Clinton Avenue, The Burg

The Unca's Tribe Club, South Clinton Avenue, The Burg.
I am not sure what this was but my readers may know.

SJ Bill adds:

The parent group is/was the Improved Order of Redmen.
A nationwide fraternal organization, they name local
Councils after Indian tribes, this one being the Uncas
Tribe. Nationally, they support research for the cure
of Alzheimer's disease.
Back in my day, rarely anyone was in the Hall. They had
their events in the evening. Parking was a problem, as
it is all over the Burg.
With the porch being set back from the street and
sidewalk quite a bit, it was a great place for a kid to
light up a smoke and not get caught. ;-)

Tom Glover adds:
Hey Mack:
My father was a member of the Uncas. He and his buddy
Stanley Kuklinsky seldom missed a meeting back in the mid
1940's.

Ralph Lucarella adds...
Hi Mack: Could that be the building that was called Red
Men's Hall at one time. I recall dances that were held there
weekly a long time ago. I'm sure some of the Burg guys who
are still around would remember.
