Grey Skies Over Rusling Street, The Burg
A summer storm could be nice on a very hot july or
august day in the Burg. It would knock 20 degrees off
the thermometer and make the air cleaner and add a
bit of breeze. In the days before air conditioning
I remember running around from window to window and
making it go from totally open to just a few inches
on the bottom open as the curtains flopped around in
the breeze. Looking for that balance of cooler air
coming in the house without rain coming through
the screens:)
