A Cool Looking Building On Butler Street, The Burg

A Cool Looking Building On Butler Street, The Burg
I do not know what this was used for. It might be
somebodys big house or a small apartment building
but its one of those parts of the streetscape I
remember:)

Growing up just a few doors away from this building I recall it being owned and used (at least the bottom floor) by the Maisto family that owned the New Colonial Bakery. Hamlet Maisto lived there with his mother as I remember. We always referred to it as , and I'm not sure of the spelling, as the Cubberly townhouse, but don't know the reason why !

Hi Guys: I believe the small building next door looks like a pool room that Larry Pagliaro ran in the 30s. I may have a different block of Butler St. in mind. The fire escape indicates it was an apt building, but the garage in the rear is rare in the Burg. Apt buildings were few in Chambersburg, although we lived in one on Emory Ave, that was Nardi's place, next to the store.

the small building on the left and i think the garage(?) was the original new colonial bakery location.

when i worked at the hudson st location, they stored their bags in the garage. we had to walk with dollies or drive a truck to get more supplies from the garage.
