530 Hudson Street, The Burg

530 Hudson Street, The Burg.
An Interior picture of the Legendary DeLorenzo's Tomato
Pies:)

UPDATE:

Ralph Lucarella adds:

Hi Mack: Some people might wonder why DeLorenzo's tomatoe pie's
place was so small. The reason, I believe, is that it orginally
was a barber shop. I recall my father getting his hair cut there,
we lived right around the corner. I think Jimmy and chick's
father was the barber. That was in the 20s, a long time ago
but to me, I remember it well. The Burg has'nt really
changed that much.

Mack:
That Barber Shop was operated by Jimmie's Brother. The reason for the small shop was the fact that it was originally someone house.

I remember the great tomato pies we enjoyed at DeLorenzo's as kids living in the Burg and then while in the USAF we used to drink beer there and talk with Tommy and Pups - I lived on Home Avenue near Beatty St - great memories - is it still there? John Szeker
