I knew Sammy Naples and he was loved in Chambersburg, he was always at one of the burgs restaurants. He was into politics and would hold meetings with folks. If I remember right, he would nightly be at Lou Greco's or Roman Hall or Candy place The Cent'Anni's. I forget, it's been so long ago. It was told to me that if you wanted to run in politics you needed Sammy's blessing.

Sammy had a finished basement, with a full bar. He lived on Hollywood Avenue., behind the Penn Station. On his basement walls were autographed pictures of Sammy with Senators, Governors and Presidents.

Also Badges and credentials from the many Democratic National Conventions, I believe he was a delegate from Mercer County. His family has a treasure with those pictures.

Also, sometime is the 1960's the first house I sold was on Tyler Street and the owners were Naples Family
