The Hotel Stacy-Trent , Trenton
51 West State Street.
Built in 1921 and closed in 1965 according to what I am
reading on the net. It was the largest hotel in the
city and famous people could be found there at times.
My Dad Ed MacNicoll sent me this picture:)
This is before my time but many Burg area folks might
know it so here it is:)
UPDATE : Steve B adds:
The Stacy-Trent Hotel was Trenton's answer to the Waldorf Astoria,
had many big events there and a lot of big shots, I recall going
there for someones wedding reception, I think it was the first time
I had ever seen waiters in tuxedos..LOL
UPDATE: Places within the Stacy-Trent according to my
Trenton City Directory:
The Chancery Lounge, The Mirror Room Restaurant, The Ship's Bar
Tavern.

Hi Mack: Your dad sure knew his stuff. This hotel was the class of Trenton. I recall the lower level of marble steps I used to pick up mail while with the post office. That part of the city also included Hotel Hildebrake and down the street was Stacy Park which had the War Memorial building. I believe that is still there. Regards, Ralph Lucarella
