Hi Mack: Here we go again. I've been getting these street scenes wrong the last few times. See if I get this one right. That looks like the corner of Columbus and Liberty. That building on the left corner was the home of Larry Laurenti, owner of many Shop-Rite super markets. The store on the right was called Liberty Market. Larry was a close friend during my Villa Park days.

and Liberty on the left..
and Woolsey and Liberty on the right:)
This was Thriftway Supermarket
in my Burg day... across the
street was Sam the Barber.. a
nice guy...and a customer on my
second paper route in the 1970s:)

wow mack i grew up right in that block 1422 to be exact , i remember larry laurenti, and across the street was liberty thriftway which was owned by sam risoldi in my burg day. just around the corner from wetzel field my home away from home . love this blog thanks for the memories mack!!!!
