Bert Avenue Across From Saint Francis Hospital, Villa Park.
This is the Emergency Room Enterance to the hospital:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Hi Mack: We lived on Bert Ave. for 12 years, at 344, from 1926 to 1938.The yard at St. Francis Hospital at that time was full of cherry trees. As kids we used to jump the fence and pick the cherries when the Sisters were not around. It was'nt a nice thing to do but the Sisters were tough and we wanted to get even. St. Francis at that time was no where near the size it is now. Regards, Ralph
Hi Ralph:)
I offer no comments about the Sisters as I am still afraid they might come to my house and slap my wrist with a ruler :)!!
Great Post. I would have joined you in this if I lived there then:)
I lived at 130 Bert Ave., the block in the pic, for 20 years beginning in 1945.
