A frying pan paints a thousand drools. All we need now is the bun, spicy mustard, some cheese and maybe a slice of thin bermuda onion.

pork roll is a religion!

"outsiders" just don't get it.

pork roll cooked on a charcoal grill (not gas), lots of cheese, ketchup, thick fresh onion slices, on a kaiser roll...HALLELUIAH!!!

can i get an AMEN???!!!!

JoeZ said...

I'll give you a HALLELUIAH. Let's not forget a good breakfast of scrambled eggs and pork roll. Had some spam the other day with eggs great also.

Mack do you mind if I use your pork roll picture to show the boys and girls down south what pork roll looks like. I know Steveb knows he probably got his the same place as me Publix.

Publix is the only place I found pork roll here in the south. When I saw the frying pork roll picture the drooling began.

Thanks Mack, Roe is making chicken parm tonight, I may have her take a picture of that and post it for the southern boys and girls here.

Yup Publix is the place... and I have already won a few converts, they love it with Bush's baked beans... lol

ok I will share my strange pork roll recipe with you... get the thick cut, bread it as you would a piece of veal, fry it, put it on a cookie sheet, top it with a slice of mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce... voila... PORK ROLL PARM...

Here's my wife's Julie recipe. Slice pork roll into strips, fry until brown, mix in Bushe's bake beans, then melt Velveeta cheese into it. You will lick the plate.
We had it last night. Hmmmmm

For you folks out of Trenton...Just a suggestion....Did you ever try to find the pork roll at Sam's Club in your area. They have it here. Just brought one today $13.00

Hi Mack: We Lived in Fla. for 45 years and could never find Taylor's Pork Roll. Publix said "Where Shopping Is A Pleasure'. I told the managers it was'nt a pleasure to search almost every store in South Fla. I enjoyed pork roll a great deal while we were in Trenton.
