360 Hamilton Avenue, The Burg.
The corner of Hamilton Avenue and Chestnut Avenue.
A few posts back I indicated this was a Bank at least
since the 1950s.
This was Trenton High School before that and this nice
item was given to me by Tom Glover. Thanks Tom:)
This is a cool looking building:)
Check out Tom Glovers site on my bloglist, its the best
local site on the net and was the inspiration for this
blog.

My childhood home was just down the street from this building,It was boarded up in the 30's after the new THS was built. we the kids in the neighborhood used the massive fire escapes to play on. early in the first months of WW2 the MP'S from Fort DIX occupied the building. because so many recruits from DIX that would come to Trenton.I recall they were there until the war ended,at that time the city demolished the building, and Broad St National built a bank on the corner site
Tom Pass says he thinks it was torn down in the 1950s.

I don't think the building was demolished until early to mid 50's.
Hi Bill& Tom:)
Great stuff I will add some of it to the post:)
Bill,
I lived on Locust Street near Chambers in the early and mid 1940's and I remember Old Trenton High Scholl Building, it was just a few blocks away and the big old pipe organ that was there. We kids, like you loved to hide in there. We moved away in 1946 to the western part of Trenton. This was a good memory.
