Two Guys, Bordentown

Once upon a time this was Two Guys Department Store
in Bordentown. A place familiar to many Burg area folks
back in the day. It was later Jefferson Ward, then Bradlees:)

Vornado rules!

And there was E.J. Korvettes, closer to home.

Folks bought me a Vornado window fan for bedroom window when I was about 10. What a treat on hot summer evening. Worked at EJ Korvettes while attending Trenton State College.

Two Guys From Harrison...the original name....I still have, and use, a Habachi grill I bought there in 1969.
Also worked at EJ's p/t in the lawn and garden section in 1971.

There is actually a Two Guys
TV ad on youtube..
Their slogan: 2 Guys Naturally.

PS My Dad also calls it
Two Guys from Harrison:)

Two Guys attracted a lot of customers from Mercer County because until sometime around the mid-60s, Mercer County still had Sunday Blue laws and stores were barred from being open on Sundays. Burlington County had done away with no Sunday business laws which is why Two Guys did a booming business.

A good point. I remember on sundays it seemed nothing was open
anywhere back in the day.

Don't tell my mom, but my dad dragged me out to Two Guys one year on Christmas Eve because he hadn't gotten out to shop - so it was up to me to help him find something suitable to wrap and put under the tree. OMG - what a night!

We used to frequent 'Two Guys' when I was a kid. A modern Walmart Supercenter didn't have all the departments they did. Remember the hardware section, WITH LUMBER! Also, I bought my first set of micrometers there. Plus, they had the best selection of model trains.
