A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

If you pan to the hard right, was there not the Olden Theater and Maruca's Tomato Pies?
Bill: The building on the corner if I'm right is Rittman's Bar and to the right was a liquor store, than Tracy's 5 & 10. The Olden Theater and Maruca's was further down Olden between Greenwood and E.State. St.
OOPS, wrong side of the street, Rittman's across the street on left side of photo. Sorry.
Greenwood Theater around the corner at Cuyler and Greenwood Aves. Marucas and Olden Theater was two blocks up on Olden Ave.
SJBill...Joe Z (punk kid) is too young to remember the duck-pin bowling alley over top of Maruca's. Do you remember?
Yes I do, though I never bowled there.
I did set pins for a dime a game at Heils, though. Rolled a games there, at Curtis Lanes on S. Warren St., White Horse Lanes before they grew huge.
Wasn't there a single bowling alley inside the Aurora Club?
Barb P and SJBill, Punk Kid Barb P?
LOL. I really don't recall the bowling alley on top of Maruca's, but do you remember bowling at the Polish Falcons Club on Olden, use to set the pins by hand only 4 lanes.
