1331 Chambers Street

1331 Chambers Street, Franklin Park, Trenton. Once the
Old Borough Savings & Loan. It was the less busy branch
so I often came here. Then I might go back down Chambers
into the Burg to do lunch at Zips Steak House.
I can still hear "Sweet Emotion" and "Tush" on Zips
Jukebox. I can still smell the grill cooking my Cheesesteak
Hoagie or California Cheeseburger.
Oh and Cumberland Farms is right there too if
I need something from the store:)

Back in the day Zips was Peps Steak House. Great steak sandwiches, real greasy, the way we liked them.

Love Peps too:)
It was 1 block from my house:)
Great Cheesesteaks and Pizza
Rolls. We used to hang at the
loading docks of Home Seal after
it was done for the day (Owner:
Pat Pratico), or at Century Hall
across from J&M Deli among other
places. Peps bought the Florist
Shop next store and expanded their
seating. Peps knew how to fry
onions correctly and that was half
the fun of their cheesesteaks:)

If you pan to the right a bit, it was Tina's Bridal Shop. I must have been in 20 weddings and we all went to Tina's...had to wear some of the ugliest brides maid dresses ever. I guess the brides wanted to make sure they looked the best.
