The Calhoun Street Bridge

When Burg folks were "goin to Pennsy" they often used the
Calhoun Street Bridge off Rt 29. I remember Morrisville
had a Red Barn Restaurant and a Dairy Queen.
UPDATE: I have added a Morrisville link to the blog list
it has some good pictures and things:)

Hey Mack...how about some shots of dowm the River toward Duck Island?
Many of us remember many, many nights parked along the river, across from Greenwood Cemetary, and watching the "submarine races" while listening to Ron Dimond spinning "backseat" music while...ah, OK...I'll let that go for now :):)

How about the Trenton Makes the World Takes bridge? Anyone remember the old Candlelight Lounge on the street going onto the bridge? Great after hours place for musicians.

Tom..don't forget, "George LUTHRE Banister, spell it wrong and we'll send it back". Paulie..don't forget Gene Gendek's "Yacht" club on Lamberton. Grab a pizza first, so you have enough energy to power the "submarine"

One of my friends on Beatty St, Joey McCarthy..his father was a MD and had a "yacht" at Gendek's..took us over to Philly often on the Delaware.
The "submarine" always held true and never, ever had problems firing torpedoes!

Oh Sax, you are toooo funny...I got your little (cough cough) comment...lol...And, if yuu guys were listening to music you weren't doing it right..hahahahaha Hey, if we are in PA now, how about Greenwood Dairy and the Pig whatever ice cream. If you ate the whole thing, it was free.

Rosemary,
It was the Pig's Dinner. Did it twice, never gained a pound. Now I read your comment on Greenwood Dairy...10 pounds on the hips. How come the pounds never go to the boobs?

Barb, I know what you mean about the placement of extra pounds..lol..
