The memories seeing that picture. My wife and I spent many an evening there for dinner or having a drink at the bar. I even said to her what if we get married, she said when. That was it we decided to get married. Is it still a restaurant or closed for good.
My grandmother's brother owned Freddy's Tavern which was there before it was La Gondola.
I remember when it was Freddy's (back in early 1960's) because it was around the corner from my school (Immaculate). I remember going to the Gondola with my wife in the 1980's.
My great grandfather was Freddie Salamondo. Who was your grandmother?
Great memories of La Gondola back in the 80's with co-workers from The Trentonian. We had many lunches, celebrations, and delicious meals there!
