A Rainy Day On Butler Street, The Burg
If it never rained in the Burg, how would Moms
Tomatos and other plants and vegetables in the
yard grow? Also after a heatwave in July or
August, a cooler rainy day was a welcome change:)

Hi Mack: Speaking of plants and vegtables in the yard, my father had a fig tree in our yard on Franklin St. that he used to bury in the winter. Come summertime he dug it up and it produced some of the sweetest figs I ever tasted. We also grew tomatoes and even had a peach tree along with many vegtables that we ate all through the great depression years.
