A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

HI MAC....THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE NICE PICTURE OF MY BROTHER "CHUCK". I CAN'T EXPLAIN THE EFFORTS HE PUT FORTH TO BECOME A DOCTOR. THEN GOD DECIDED HE NEEDED HIM AND CHUCK PASSED AWAY AT THE AGE OF 56. HE WILL BE REMEMBERED AS ONE OF THE FEW PLAYERS TOI STEAL HOME IN THE FINAL GAME OF THHE AMERCAN LEGION WORLD SERIES IN 1948. WE WERE THERE ALONG WITH MANY OTHER TRENTONIANS TO WITNESS THE CHAMPIONSHIP THAT PUT TRENTON IN THE LIMELIGHT OF LEGION BASEBALL. AS A DOCTOR CHUCK TOOK CARE OF MANY IN THE BURG AND WAS HIGHLY THOUGHT OF AMONNG THE SISTERS AT ST. FRANCIS HOISPITAL. MAY HE REST IN PEACE AND FOREVER BE REMEMBERED. WARM REGARDS AND THANKS AGAIN.
Ralph:
I view your brother's grave often. My Brother and Sister in law are buried close along with the Piccolella. I also knew the Doctor's wife thru the Piccolellas.
