Hudson Beer Gardens, 419 Hudson Street,1976, The Burg
Look how cheap those prices are and I remember everyone
complaining about how high prices were on everything
in the 1970s LOL :)

MAC, PRICES IN THE 70'S WERE HIGH COMPARED TO THE 40'S. MOST OF THE SALONS GAVE AWAY ALL KINDS OF FOOD FREE WITH THEIR 5 CENT BEERS AND 50 CENTS MIXED DRINKS DURING THOSE YEARS. BARTOLINI'S WAS ONE OF MANY WHO GAVE AWAY FOOD WITH THEIR DRINKS, AND THEY ALWAYS HAD PRETZELS, CHIPS AND HARD BOILED EGGS ON THE HOUSE.

I remember beer was a quarter at many places when I first started drinking in the early 1980s:)

Mack: Stanley's Tavern on Brunswick, beer once was a dime, I think when I was in the service and came home it was 25 cents.

Miss the old burg and the great restaurants there. Crecco’s, Marsilios, Casino, Hudson Garden, Dino’s… great place time to be alive in the 60’s , 70’s and 80’s….
