HI MAC....THAT CORNER WILL ALWAYS BE KNOWN AS ASHBRAND'S HARDWARE TO ME. AM I RIGHT OR AM I IMAGINING THE OLD SECTIONS OF FRANKLIN ST. WHERE WE LIVED IN THE 30'S AND 40'S. WAS'NT THERE A LAUNRYMAT ON THE CORNER AT ONE TIME. REGARDS.

Asbrand was across the street in my day. I think the wife of the owner of Asbrand Hardware was a nurse over at Saint Francis Hospital for many years:) Franklin Street begins at Hamilton Avenue and goes all the way to Cedar Lane:)
