A Rossiburger With Cheddar and Onions

A Rossiburger With Cheddar and Onions
Imagine this on your plate. The Burg Legend Rossi's
Bar & Grill at 501 Morris Avenue still makes them.
God Bless The Ole Burg:)

The first time I ever had Provolone cheese was at Rossi's.

In the early 60's that is what you got. Later, American made the scene and I remember telling a friend who ordered a burger with cheddar that "no cheddar" .. Mike's wife or was that his sister, said we have it now.

She was still there last year.

Then I discovered the rib eye. Another reason to experience bliss. I had never had a rib-eye before then.

I'll bet the other food on the menu was good at dinner but I could never get past the burger or rib-eye often with a double cole slaw.

Then off to The Burg Dairy which probably wasn't technically "Burg" but after a Rossi meal,The Burg Dairy and then a perfect Saturday was topped off with a few brews from "Stan's" (a hole in the wall next to Burg Dairy), with a game of "21" or black jack with my pals a few doors down and talk cars till the wee hours. One had a 356 Porsche and the other a 1963 Galaxy with the 390.

Our "Happy Days" indeed but today a common schmoe could only dream of a Porsche.

City Tire and Chico's Harley Davidson two other Burg institutions.

Didn't know what else to do with some of these thoughts once Mack starts rolling the ball?

And someone mentioned that Ernie Kovacs would have been 92 and that made me think of Count Felix.
