Hi Mac: Kent Street is the original location of two
associations that grew big in Chambersburg. The Kent
A.A. and the Barron A.A. The Kent A.A. went on to
become a legend, while the Barrons grew too big for
their britches and wound up with nothing. They moved
to the Township and built a beautiful complex only
to lose it because of gambling. The only good thing
the Barrons accomlished was to provide the senior
citizens with a very nice social center. The Kents
went on and built a new place in the Burg and still
cary on the tradition of the old Kent Tigers.
