The Railroad At South Clinton Avenue, East Trenton

The Railroad At South Clinton Avenue, East Trenton
This is the first view many of our Burg ancestors had of
Trenton after they had boarded a passenger ship over
there and had landed in Ellis Island NYC and had boarded
a Train there. Many of them were sponsered by family but
I do not know if they were commonly met at the Clinton
Avenue Train Station as I do not have any idea if
accurate schedules for ships were available nor do I
know if calling relatives from NYC to Trenton was
affordable. Perhaps they were met by folks from the
Italian Embassy on Greenwood Avenue? Perhaps they were
given maps? Its an easy walk from the Clinton Avenue
Train Station to the Burg but I do not know what they
commonly carried with them nor do I know how many had
small kids with them. Perhaps they took a bus from the
train station? If anyone has a family story about
this I would love to hear it.
