Metedeconk NJ 1974
Metedeconk NJ 1974
Another summer season has come and gone as we have passed
Columbus Day on the calender and all the kids have been
back in school for a while. Metedeconk as we knew it has
been gone since the late 1970s but will always be a place
for happy memories for many Burg folks including me:)

I could spend most of the day there with a fishing pole, a good sandwich and a few beers till dinner time.
Let's not forget cooking on the beach and crabbing!
And the big building with that huge covered porch and a gameroom with a jukebox inside it:)
I remember the crabbing days, we used to walk through the water with drag nets, when we filled a coupe of bushel baskets we would head back to Trenton, to my friends house where his mom would toss those crabs into a huge pot of tomato sauce, then we would sit in the back yard and eat until we couldnt move, everything was covered with tomato sauce.. those were the days...
