A Burg Yard Pool
Did you have a pool in your Burg yard? We had many pools over
the years. In this picture some punk kids are interupting a
perfectly good swim of my Dad. In the picture from left to
right are my sister Shari, my brother Dave, me (Mike), and
my Dad Ed MacNicoll. This is from the early 1970s.

Mack the only way to cool off in the summer or take a dip at Jr. 4.
When I was about 5 we had a little two ring blow up pool that would only hold two small kids.
Once one of the kids on the block had one and in an one afternoon of "wilding" we bent the aluminum and that was the end of it.
The best summer pool time was when I had a pass at Woodlawn. I was "too small to stay by yourself", but not small enough to ride my bike like 25 blocks in city traffic to get there. My sister lived across the street and made me come for lunch.
Our pool was a cleaned out 50 gallon oil drum. Loved it but tough doing the back stroke..
