....I REMEMBER JOE D'AMICO AND THE LOU GIOVA GROUP AS BANDS PLAYING AT THE CEDAR GARDENS DURING THE 1960'S. JOE PLAYED THERE MANY YEARS FOR NEW YEARS EVE AND BANQUETS. RAYMOND AGABITI ALWAYS HAD GOOD ENTERTAINMENT WHILE THEY OWNED THE PLACE.

I am glad someone remembered some of these folks:)

Not much for the dancing but I remember posters for Joe Zook and another band, Blank Zippa, that used to frequent the Widows Watch. I think there was a Johnnies Dance Band that had a strong following too.

Maury Muehleheisen was IMHO, the true music behind Jim Croce. Those gentle guitar lines were velvet. He was a Cathedral grad and I remember him once or twice playing with a Burg kid Bob Ruschack in a (where else), borrowed garage over on Greenwood and Olden.

Mack: I liked the Celebrity Room with Billy Kay and Ann Carol. There was a band that also played there with Cheech Iero the great drummer.
