Centre Street in the 1950s, South Trenton.
I love all the cool cars in older pictures of
the area:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Hi Mack: They look like trolley tracks on Centre Steet. and why is'nt it Center, instead of Centre. Speaking of trolley tracks, do you know that the DeAngelos built the Del Rio Restaurant on Hamilton Ave. from the blocks removed from the streets when the trolley tracks were removed. That information came right from Charley DeAngelo, who was a very good friend of ours. Regards.
Hi Ralph.
I think the reason it is Centre
and not Center Street is it is
so old that the common British
spelling Centre was still used
widely in the United States at
the time.
Wow, I did not know that about
Del Rio's:)
And how many of those cars do you think were unlocked? A different time.
