A Summer Sunrise at The Casino Pier, Seaside Heights

A Summer Sunrise at The Casino Pier, Seaside Heights
Can you hear the waves? Can you hear the seagulls?
Can you smell the salty air? Did you or your family go to
Seaside Heights? Did you go thru Cassville and see that
Old Russian Church along the way? Did you go to Metedeconk?
Remember that big porch at Metedeconk with rocking chairs
on it? Did you go to Point Pleasant? Atlantic City? Wildwood?
Long Beach Island (LBI) ?, Barnegat Lighthouse?
Going down the shore was part of Burg life in summer:)

The Jersey shore is a place I really miss. From the time I was a kid to many years latter, I always looked forward to seeing the 0cean and the boardwalks. I remember seeing Sammy Kaye and his orchestra playing at Jenkinson's Pavillion at Point Pleasant. Asbury Park always had feature attractions, they also had the big bands and famous singers. And the best of all was Atlantic City, with the Steel Pier, Hamid's Pier and the world famous boardwalk with Hackney''s restaurant. I've been around in my time but nothing could compare with those days. Best wishes and good health in the New Year.

Seaside for those day trips,Wildwood for that annual summer vacation with my parents. We visited Atlantic City many times, my dad's sister lived there and her husband Nick owned a Greek Coffee house. Steel Pier, lots of memories. Miss the boardwalk food the most, tomato pies, french fries in that cone cup, pork roll, sausage peppers and onions, the list goes on.
