Map of Trenton 1872 (My Burg Observations)
Map of Trenton 1872 (My Burg Observations)
Thank you for this map Stephen:)
I shall confine my observations about this map to The Burg
area.
Beatty Street was Coleman Street.
Part of Broad Street was called White Horse Road.
Genesee Street was Hamilton Street.
Part of Woodland Street was called Lincoln Street.
Dayton Street was Washington Street.
Whittaker Avenue was Prospect Street.
Part of Roebling Avenue was called Annie Street.
Part of Adeline Street was called Houghton Street.
Malone Street was Walnut Street.
Psrt of Chestnut Avenue was called Spruce Street.
Chestnut Avenue was called Chestnut Street.
Part of Barnt Avenue was called Pine Street.
Part of Hudson Street was called Jennie Street.
Train Tracks were on South Clinton Avenue up to Dye Street
at the Roebling Factory which led to the Trenton Train
Station and beyond.
Holicre (?) Childrens Home was on the land that became
Columbus Park AKA Deefees.
But many of the streets have the same names in 1872 as
they did in my Burg Day.

Are there any maps of streets and lots from the 59s-60s to track where people lived?!
Thanx for keeping memories alive from bygone days.
