Mack, This building housed a florist for many years. The business name escapes me. It is just off the intersection of S. Olden and Hamilton. There was an ESSO service station on the corner.

Hi Anon:)
Was this Hamilton Florist Shop
owner Angelo Eppilito?
If thats the case the street address has changed since the
1950s (quite possible) as it that
was 1203 Hamilton then.

Mack, I actually wrote the note regarding the Florist Shop. Somehow, it came through as anonymous.
Yes, now that you mention it, it was Hamilton Florist, It was there for many years.
Perhaps other numbers have changed along this stretch of Hamilton Ave. You have previously posted a picture, identifying a building as Brown's Lunchionette. I'm looking at the picture and the store seems too narrow for Brown's. The building to the left, is more like I remember Brown's. Wider, with room for tables and chairs. Is it possible that the numbers were changed in this area, which is just up from the Florist, on the opposite side of the street. Brown's was a pretty large store. Anyone else have a memory of this location?

The address of this place is 1215. The buildingnext to it wich is now offices is 1213. Numbering was strange.

I used to work at the former Hamilton Florist for the Mickey and Marianne Kupetsky. It was once owned by Marianne's parents.

The storefront was once smaller, and had greenhouses attached to the rear. In fact the same terrazo floor from the original 1912 construction still remains. The greenhouses were removed and the store was enlarged. There are also 2 homes at the rear of the property. One is attached to the former flower shop, the other was transformed into 2 apartments.

I have 2 old pictures of this place if your interested.
