The War Memorial, Trenton.
Many Burg folks know this from School Trips or Concerts
attended:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

I was graduated from THS on that stage.
I must havve been 67 or 68 when I used to attend Greater Trenton Sympony Orchestra concerts. You purchased tickets from Mifflin's Pianos on East State Street, near City Hall. I wasn't earning much but it was easy to purchase tickets that were just a few rows from center stage. My date and I sat next to Mary Roebling.
I certainly hope this venue hasn't met the fate of most of the city.
The War Memorial also now called
Patriot's Theatre still in good
shape:)
Mifflin Piano 234-236 East State:)
The second violin lead was Theodore Proccacini, the son of one of the plumbers on you recent list.
In 62 or 63, I soundly defeated Ted in a game of stright pool by running close to sixty balls. ;-)
Life in the Burg had many interesting twists and stories.
I too was graduated from that stage way back in '62. Went to many concerts there.
