805-807-809 Hudson Street, The Burg
Once upon a time this was:
805: The In and Out Social Club
807: Joseph Kovac's Barber Shop
809: 50s: Joseph Eggert, 60s: Sam Stone
No business listed for 809 so perhaps it was residential:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

At first I didn't recognize the structure, but it turns out this building was between what was Yurcho's Bar and Trenton Trust, just next to Freudenmacher Alley.
I try to stay positive with my comments, but this is an image that scares the cr@p out of me. I'm not sure what businesses were in this space back in the day, but today it looks like it's in the middle of a war zone.
SJ yes the alley and the bank are
right here. You are correct as usual.
On the positive side, it must be
said that while the Burg aint what it was, most of the pictures I have
taken show buildings in decent to
good shape. This one, however,
is a "handyman special" :)
The irony is that the is that Major John Buffin, the head of the NJ State Police, lived 3 or 4 doors directly behind this place (on Genessee St.), and the back door to Tal Brody's place was just past the firehouse on the other side of the alley.
