The Statue of Christopher Columbus, Columbus Park, The Burg.
I took this picture yesterday and am surprised at how nice
it came out. Columbus Day was big in the Burg. The Italian Explorer
Discoverer of America was a source of pride here:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

The old joke was that Chris was standing there keeping an eye on who is coming into the "Burg"
lol..steve...
I remember taking my boys to the park (maybe mid 80's), laying on the ground and looking up at the fireworks as if it were right over us.
Walked by old Chris every school day for four years, on my way to and from Immaculate Conception School - and church on Sunday!
