The cool looking Bank Building at the corner of South Broad
Street and Hudson Street:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

My grandmother banked there, the building inside was cool also, marble tables and columns.
Also was later converted to high end restaurant with special dining in the vault. Did not last very long.
Tom I thought it still was a bank, is it just a vacant building now?
This was one of my accounts, where I shoveled snow each winter. My "boss" was Mr. John Bowers, the Branch VP. Later, he wrote my first auto loan.
Vacant now but I do believe it was tried as a dining venue about 15 years ago.
This was originally Trenton Trust Bank (Mary Roebling's Bank), later became National State Bank. Sat vacant for many years and then became "The Vault", as Tom Pass remembered. Upscale dining with all the original architecture. Unfortunately, the neighborhood was not conducive to "upscale" and it was just a fish outta' water and vacant again. Truly a shame, such a beautiful building.
Welcome back Barb P, you should have told those high class restaurants guys to make it a tomato pie joint instead. Nice to see you back. I post a blog about you on my site today, check back it's in your honor.
Joe Z...been finishing up the last of my 6 month testing, all is still good with me. Hope all is well with Rosie. Missed my friends, glad to be back.
