I remember his trip to America in 1979.
He was from Poland:)
He helped free "Eastern Europe" as it was then called.
He forgave the man who tried to assassinate him.
He was a Great Man. I like Benedict XVI too (I call him
Benny sixteen). God Bless John Paul the Great:)

Too bad he's gone, we could use some of HIS wisdom about now. Not only Pope, but a consumate politician and ambassador, who understood how the world worked, and I think, helped make it a better place. Benny's OK, but too old school for me.

There are 1.3 billion catholics
and that number is growing every
day. I think John Paul is a big
reason for that.
Benny's situation is sort of like
being the singer who comes on stage after Sinatra.
He is nice but there was only one
