912 South Broad Street, The Burg

912 South Broad Street, The Burg
I don't know what this was in my day but it was
once Chris Luncheonette (Chris Nezis).
One of the many cool old buildings on South Broad Street:)

When my sister worked at the RKO Broad in the late 1940's she would take me along and we would go to Chris' afterwards...the auto tire company was between the movies and the soda shop...the bakery was/is Blumenthal's....best fresh rye bread around seeded or no seeds!

A little further down Broad there was Nick's BBQ chicken. Does anyone remember that. They were the best BBQ chickens. It was sold years ago, I don't know what's there now. Maybe one of you knows. Come on Barb P, put that thinking cap on.

Used to stop at Nicks in Yardville at least once a week, owner died and the building was sold to a chinese restaurant. The chicken was good, but I could eat pounds of the BBQ'd potatoes. I miss it to, BP, no more Nicks.
