598 Chestnut Avenue, The Burg.
Once this was Clarici Food Store:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

When I was in Immaculate, it was Clarici's Food Store, but to us it was the Penny Candy Store...twice a day, 5 days a week only off for Holy Days and Holidays.
This was across from Trenfeti's Restaureant
Sonny Trionfetti, son of owner of Trionfetti's, is still in town. Good tenor sax player who occasionally makes some of the local sessions.
Sonny Trionfetti opened a club on Front St. back in the 60's. Don't know how long it lasted.

Use to live right across the street in an apartment with first husband and our 2 kids in the late 60's.

Sonny's club was called "Chez (something)" Did not last very long for many reasons.
