It was actually a tailor shop more than a cleaners.
I see it was Jos Elias Tailor
in the 50s before it was a cleaners
You got it! My father, in the late 40's, had a cleaning business in the front of our house on 607 Beatty. He sent most of the clothes out to ??? don't remember the name of the cleaners..and he would do small stuff and pressing at the house.
Sax...was it Stacy Laundry? They used to pick up and deliver our laundry, wrapped in dark blue paper, tied with string. Wow...can't believe I remembered that. Thanks Joe Z...the ginko is working.
