300 Block of William Street, Franklin Park.

The 300 Block of William Street, Franklin Park.
Franklin Park homes were a bit bigger and there were
far more trees than in the Burg.
The city has yet to approve my request for a monument
to my football playing days in Franklin Park !
Franklin Park had the legendary Pat's Diner:)

The second house (green one) is where the Ulisse's lived.

Amazing what a good place this
was back in the day.
I found the green house by itself
in a picture but it wasnt a good
picture and I wanted to do it
justice:)
I think there still might be footballs stuck in the trees in Franklin Park that we kicked up there by mistake !

The third house white one)was a Ulisse house as well. Ulisse's green house was on a double lot and one of the son's built a house on the lot that was once his parent's yard.

It was a GREAT place back in the day and I am pretty sure a few whiffle balls and kick balls got a bird's eye view of Franklin Park along with the footballs courtesy of the neighborhood boys that migrated from park to park to school yard playing different "championship" events amongst themselves and against other neighborhood clans. It's amazing when you look at today's youth on an xbox 360 most of their free time. I guess we would have done the same if there was an xbox 360 and we could actually afford it along with the games!!

Anonymous...When I was a kid, even if I had an Xbox, my mom would still have thrown me out to play. Kids don't understand that mom needed some time too. Back then we had friends, not acquaintenances, we had sports, that really meant something to us, we had music and dances, we had term papers due that we researched in a Book and wrote by Hand...we played hard and slept good. Too tired for ADHD.
