Random Burg Remembering

Remember the Harley Davidson Motorcycle place and Tattoo Place
on South Broad Street near Liberty? I worked at my Dads office
right there for years. Remember when the Club at Broad and Liberty
was called The Widows Watch? Remember when the city
sent a Fire Truck around the Burg with Santa Claus waving
to everyone each year? Anyone remember the nice old
man Joe The Whip who lived on Adeline Street? He used
to come in our office and create chaos and a good time for
my Dad, Mom and Brother and me. Did anyone else first
learn to drive by going to the Cemetary on Cedar Lane and
driving on the roads there? Did anyone out there have cousins
who lived in the suburbs and when you visited their house
you thought their yard was the size of a Park? Our yard was a
good place to dig holes (why do kids dig holes in yards?), play
touch football, have a swing set, have a little above ground pool,
and catch lightning bugs in summers long ago .
The picture above is my Mom in our Burg yard back in the Day:)

I remember the parades downtown when santa used to ride the fire truck and then climb into a window of one of the stores downtown. Sears?

lol..Yes, I remember the Widows Watch..It was the place to be for those 'disco' dancing days. In between marriages, that was one of my hangouts..lol.Of course, we never went there first. Sometimes, it would be a drink or two at the Wooden Nickle. You never walked in there before 10:00...lol..

Mike,
I miss Joe the Whip, 'cause he was the only other person besides me who smoked in your office.
