I was walking down S.Broad Street near Independence Mall with a friend T.W. when the motorcade came by. That was during the afternoon time. We were unable to see the President but knew he was in the car. I was 11 years of age at the time.
Yes this was September 10 1977. President Jimmy Carter came to town and appeared at The Feast Of Lights. This was the glory days of the Burg. They are long since past. For me not just a memory but a great memory of a time better than now.
