A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

THANKS A LOT MAC FOR SHOWING A TEAM THAT DID SO MUCH FOR PUTTING TRENTON ON THE MAP IN THE FIELD OF AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL. WHAT A DIFFERENCE FROM THE TEAM OF 1936 WHICH I WAS A MEMBER OF. WE LOST TO A GREAT HAMILTON LEGION THAT YEAR; WATCHING MY BROTHER "CHUCK" STEAL HOME IN THAT FINAL GAME IN INDIANAPOLIS WAS SOMETHING WE'LL NEVER FORGET. THANKS AGAIN.
Hi Ralph :)
I was so glad to get this pic as I thought of you and your brother. You are very welcone. God Bless The Old Burg :)
Ralph:
You mention the Schroths quite a bit, American Legion Post 93 helped
a lot of kids in Trenton. It would great if the kids helped the Post now. We were 1000's strong and now down to 98 members. If some of the kids that went into service would join the American Legion Post it would a great help to the Post. It would be one way of showing their appreciation.
YOU'RE SO RIGHT JOE, AMERICAN LEGION POST 93 CERTAINLY HELPED MANY OF THE VETS AND KIDS IN THE AREA. THE SCHROTHS WERE JUST ONE OF THE THINGS THAT GAVE THE KIDS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW THEIR TALENT. I THANK THEM SO MUCH FOR GIVING ME AND MY BROTHER CHUCK THAT CHANCE. I WOULD URGE ALL VETS TO JOIN SUCH AN OUTSTANDING GROUP AS POST 93. REGARDS
