Mayor Art Holland 1973

Mayor Art Holland 1973

He had already been chief executive of the city for many
years and had many more to go in 1973. I remember the
Commons in the early 1980s when I worked downtown.
Blimpies, Kresges, Dunhams, Gino's, a few hole in the
wall bars. I remember Trentons' Heritage Days in Mill
Hill in those days brought quite a crowd:)

HI MAC...MAYOR ART HOLLAND IS ANOTHER OF MY FAVORITE SUBJECTS. WE WERE TEAMMATES AND GOOD FRIENDS IN HIS YOUNGER YEARS AND HE LATTER TURNED OUT TO BE THE BEST MAYOR IN THE HISTORY OF TRENTON. HE OFTEN TOLD ME HE CONSIDERED BECOMING A PRIEST WHILE HE ATTENDED TRENTON CATHOLIC AND PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT AT THAT. BEST REGARDS.

Hi Ralph:)
Art was a good guy and loved Trenton and seemed to know everyone. My Dad knew him and was part of the City of Trenton Landmarks Commission back in the day:)
