HI MAC...THAT'S THE CORNER OF CHAMBERS AND ROEBLING WHERE WE ALL GATHERED TO DO MANY THINGS WHEN WE LIVED FIRST ON BERT AVE. AND LATER ON FRANKLIN ST. ONE OF THE GOOD FEATURES OF CHAMBERSBURG WAS THE AMOUNT OF CORNER STORES LOCATED ALL OVER THE PLACE. THE ONLY REASON TO GO DOWN TOWN WAS FOR THE DEPT STORES. OTHERWISE WE HAD EVERYTHING IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. IF BILL SCHULTZ READS THIS COMMENT. I WANT TO TELL HIM THAT MARGE BODNER PASSED AWAY THIS WEEK. SHE WAS 91 AND MARRIED TO JOE BODNER YOUR NEIGHBOR ON SO. CLINTON AVE. AND OWNER OF BODNER'S SERVICE STATION. BEST REGARDS.

Sadly, that car lot will go down in infamy as being where that nut case talked the young fellow into hiding of the trunk of the old Impala taxi while he did random shootings as he held the whole east coast in a grip of terror for weeks.

Of course they had nothing to do with it but it will always bring back that haunting memory and his only association with Trenton was buying the car there.

Hi Skip. I think the Car Lot was the one on South Clinton that used to be Bodnars Gas Station..but yes the DC Sniper got his car in the Burg.

That car lot is where the body of "Frankie Stale" Stillitano lay dead in the trunk of his car for an entire day, before it was actually found at Philly Airport. Across the street was the old Botal Inn that Mikey Russo had just bought. Mikey was murdered and Mr Russo shot by Frankie Stale. Frankie and I had the identical 1976 olds Toronado and I would get pulled over by cops and followed and stared at by mob folks out to kill Frankie. Mom told I'd better sell the car because it was dangerous, but luckily they found Frankie before they shot me.
