HI MAC...HUDSON STREET WAS WHERE MOST OF THE BUSINESS PEOPLE WERE LOCATED DURING MY TIME IN THE BURG. EVERYTHING YOU NEEDED EXCEPT DEPT STORES WAS LOCATED THERE. PARKING WAS NOT A PROBLEM THEN CAUSE YOU WALKED ALMOST EVERYWHERE. HORSE AND WAGONS AND PUHCARTS WERE THR MODE OF TRAVEL IN THOSE DAYS. GOD BLESS THE OLD BURG. BEST REGARDS.

Are you in a position to do some research on the building at the corner of Mott and Hudson, the building across the street from the original Hudson Beer Garden?
It is supposed to have quite a history, Cigar Making, Sewing Machine Factory and Boxing History.

Hi JoeB :)
I have a bit on it.
its 420 Hudson Street
It was Abraham Nosnitsky Blouse Manufacturing in at least the 50s and 60s. It was DeLorenzo's Tomato Pies
in the 40s or 50s.
It MIGHT have been what this line refers to "The initial formal religious activities in and about Trenton were undertaken by ...... Wagner's Hall at the corner of Hudson and Mott Streets was the meeting place ..." (of course that could refer to the building that became Hudson Garden later). Just thought I would add it:)

HI JOE...I WAS BORN RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO THAT BUILDING IN 1919 AND IN ALL THE YEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN AROUND THE BURG, I CAN'T RECALL EVER KNOWING WHAT THE BUILDING WAS USED FOR.
