Cent'Anni, Genessee Street and Anderson Street, The Burg

Cent'Anni, Genessee Street and Anderson Street, The Burg
Once upon a time this was Cent'Anni Restaurant and Bar.
It had that name for part of 3 decades. The 1970s, 1980s
, and 1990s. I remember walking by it and admiring the
big Felix the Cat on one of the sides of the building.
God Bless The Old Burg:)

My Cousin went it there quite often. He had a unique way of pronouncing it it came out something like ... CenTenni with extra emphasis on the T.

I also note that he went to Hamilton High ............. West. It was as if the tradition dictated that the word West demand a two minute wait in order to make the distinction. Come to think of it he went Gggggggggggggggggrice. Almost snarled like a bear. I hired a nice fellow a few years later and he had the same Gnarly Griceish Snarl. A few local colloquial jovial Hamiltonisms.

Ssssssssssssssssskip.
