320 Anderson Street, The Burg

320 Anderson Street, The Burg
Once upon a time this was Capitol Poultry
In my Burg day this was (and still is) Porfirio's
Italian Market. Since 1965 according to Porfirio's
website:)

Capital Poultry Market belonged to my father-in-law
Augistino Leonardi. Everybody knew him as Augie or
"The Chicken Man". I was married to his son Benny.
Augie's brother was the owner of the Triangle. The
poultry market supplied most of Trenton with the
fresh poultry. During hunting season everybody
brought their ducks, geese, and sometimes deer to
be cleaned and dressed (cut up and put into
packages). Dominic Carramitti and his brother
John (Tags) also worked with him. My husband did
also after school and on weekends.
