Summers' Stolen Days On The Delaware Canal
Remember taking Cass Street to The John Fitch Way to
Route 29 along the Delaware River up past Washingtons
Crossing State Park in Summer? Canoeing and Paddle Boats
or Fishing? The Custard Stand along Route 29?
My Dad would take us there on a Sunday. We also went to
Newtown PA to get ice cream. We also went to the Red Barn
restaurant in Morrisville. How much our parents cared for
us and did for us. Did you have parents like this?
A big part of the Burg was Family. For my own family,
I cannot look at a picture of the Delaware Canal
and not think of Dad in summers long ago:)
